Melbourne Vigil for Gay Men in Chechnya
2017
-
The Vigil was held on 16 May 2017 at Federation Square in Melbourne. It aimed to stand in solidarity with bi and gay men who were being captured, tortured and killed in Chechnya because of who they love, and call on the Australian government help to stop these horrific events.
The advertising was designed using the black and white to reflect the seriousness of the situation and rainbow colours in the title to reflect that it was related to the LGBTIQ+ community. Photography by Sarah Pannell.
